Los hilos de la vida QSOS
Karen Musgrave, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, conducted interviews with the quiltmakers and their teachers in the mostly Latina quilt group, Los hilos de la vida, in Boonville, California. The interviews were made possible by a grant from the Salser Family Foundation.

The Asheville Quilt Guild QSOS
The Asheville Quilt Guild is documenting the quilt stories of its members, as well as other quiltmakers in Western North Carolina. The guild meets in Asheville, North Carolina in the Blue Ridge of the Appalachian Mountains.

The Daughters of Dorcas QSOS
Evelyn Salinger, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, documented members of the Daughters of Dorcas from 2002-2005. The Daughters of Dorcas meets at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. Members live in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
The Delaware QSOS
Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with quiltmakers in Delaware. Additional interviews by faculty and students working in the Regional Center for the Quilt at the University of Delaware are included. They gathered interviews from quiltmakers and trained interviewers representing a number of local guilds.

The Healing Quilts In Medicine QSOS
Karen Musgrave, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, conducted interviews with the quiltmakers involved in making art quilts for the oncology waiting areas of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The theme of the quilts was the plants and animals used to make the medicine in chemotherapies. The interviews were made possible by a grant from Lisa Ellis.

These interviews were conducted in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003 after Q.S.O.S. trainings by Q.S.O.S. volunteers at International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas with the support of the International Quilt Association and Quilts, Inc.

Also included are interviews by Amy Henderson, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, with quiltmakers in the exhibition "Master Quilts Past and Present: Preserving the Voice of America's Quiltmakers" at the Faulconer Gallery at Grinnell College from May 30 to July 27, 2003.

Also included were interviews conducted by Julie Henderson, a research assistant working with Dr. Bernard Herman, Professor of Art and Art History at the University of Delaware and Q.S.O.S. volunteer. Most of Julie's interviews were facilitated with the support of Mary Walter and the patrons of her store, A Quilter's Garden, in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The Mississippi River Valley QSOS
The interview conducted by Karen Musgrave, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, was part of a joint project with the Illinois Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts through a Challenge America Grant and Quilters' S.O.S. - Save Our Stories. The project was designed to increase the awareness of the influence that the Mississippi River has had on the arts and artists of the area. The tape recorders for this project were provided by a donation from the Salt Creek Quilters Guild of Western Springs, Illinois.

Joanne Gasperik and Suzanne Sanger, Q.S.O.S. volunteers, have been documenting members of their quilt guild and professional quiltmakers who give guild programs since 2003. The guild meets at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Naples, Florida. Many of the members are "snowbirds."
The National Museum of Mexican Art Quilt QSOS
Karen Musgrave, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, conducted interviews with the first-time quiltmakers who participated in the National Museum of Mexican Art’s (Chicago, Illinois) workshop “Quilt Me a Story.” The quilts tell the participants’ immigration stories.
The National Society DAR National Winners QSOS
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution holds annual American Heritage Contests for their own members. Beginning in 2005, winners of the Fiber Arts-Quilt category have been interviewed and photographed with their winning quilts. The Quilters Hall of Fame QSOS
Q.S.O.S. volunteers conducted interviews with quiltmakers involved in The Quilters Hall of Fame/Maria Webster House in Marion, Indiana. The Quilters Hall of Fame (QHF) is a nonprofit organization that honors those who have made outstanding contributions to the world of quilting. The QHF has a permanent home located in Marie Webster's colonial revival house where she designed her famous quilts and operated a successful pattern business.

The Sacred Threads QSOS
Karen Musgrave, Q.S.O.S. volunteer, conducted interviews with quiltmakers who had participated in the Sacred Threads exhibit when it occurred in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sacred Threads is a biennial exhibit that explores the subject themes of spirituality, joy, inspiration, peace/brotherhood, grief and healing.
The Siouxland Samplers Quilt Guild QSOS
The Siouxland Samplers Quilt Guild is documenting the quilt stories of its members, as well as other quiltmakers in the "Siouxland" area served by the Guild. The Guild meets in Sioux City, Iowa, which is located at the convergence of three states -- Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Interviewees in the project include quiltmakers from all three of these states.

The Uncommon Threads QSOS
Gayle Pritchard conducted these interviews for her book "Uncommon Threads" (Ohio University Press, 2006). These interviews were not conducted as Quilters' S.O.S. - Save Our Stories interviews. However, we felt that the spirit of the interviews and the valuable information shared warranted inclusion in the project.
