| I was born and grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, so when I read that The Alliance for American Quilts was moving there I was thrilled and wanted to be a part of that. When I thought about the theme of this contest, the idea of juxtaposing a realistic roof construction on a fairy house amused me. I had a lot of fun creating this quilt. |
