| I was inspired to create "Welcome-Bienvenido" by the current national discussion over immigration. Millions of people enter our country each year in search of a new roof - shelter - security - for themselves, their families. I hope that the spirit of our debate will honor the good intentions and needs of those seeking basic freedoms, that we will welcome each other's calls for understanding and connection, and look for solutions that bridge our differences rather than erecting walls that further separate us. |
