17. "A Crow Builds Its Home in a Tree"
Terry Pottmeyer
Mercer Island, Washington
cotton, machine piecing, embellished with beads, crystals, threads and tulle, machine quilting
The common raven, corvus, builds a rather loosely organized nest. Inside the crow's nest are beads and shiny objects which crows like to find and hide. This crow builds its home on the quilt block "Crow's Nest." Small "Flying Geese" blocks comprise the left of the quilt while a portion of the "Birds in Flight" block wing through the sky.
