| For the past few years I have worked on a series of small quilt images featuring faces using bright colors. Each face has a theme and for the "Put a Roof Over Our Head" project it seemed appropriate to portray a house perched on top of a head. Moving to Asheville offers The Alliance a new environment where colors change with each season. I like the ideas of flowers in the hair as a way to convey happiness in a new place, experiencing a new people in a new town. |
