| I purchased the orphan basket block for $1 at an antique shop. I picked it apart, replaced the stained white, and re-pieced the block by hand. I designed floral embroidery for the corners and pulled colors from the original print to use. I found the stripe in my vintage fabric stash and used rickrack that my grandmother had purchased for 31 cents a long time ago. Old materials, new design, an orphan salvaged! |
