77. "Tangled Lone Star" Peggy Schroder Sweet Home, Oregon |
| I drew each "Zentangle" by hand and then printed each one individually onto silk fabric. I sewed a ribbon on for sashing, quilted around each star and finished off with a cotton binding. |
| The Lone Star is a well known pattern that has been around since the 1800’s and it is a favorite of mine, but I find it challenging. For this contest I decided to make a contemporary version of the Lone Star that combines the latest craze know as Zentangles. These are my original designs drawn by hand and then printed on silk using new technology on one of the oldest textiles know – new from old.
