My favorite pattern: Red Onion (Karla Alexander, Stack A New Deck), which fascinates me endlessly. My first quilting teacher, Jo Ann Dawson, who taught me to appreciate template-drafting, hand-piecing and hand-quilting. Deep appreciation for my sturdy Pfaff 230, passed on to me by my mother Elizabeth Marcella Wood - a passionate sewer - who purchased it in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1958. |
