| I called this piece "Joy" because quilting is a joy of my life. I started 20 years as a traditional hand piecer and quilter. As I learned, created and traveled the world, I have become an art quilter. This piece is inspired by textile folk art of Central Asia and India. Using a traditional block, hand-dyed fabrics, and beaded embellishments, I am telling my own story, creating a style of my own. |
