| My grandmother was a quilter. From her I learned the beauty and geometry of traditional blocks. One of my first pieces was a Christmas mantle cover from nine-patch blocks set on point. Too traditional. I started thinking of ways to manipulate blocks. Sometimes I changed the lines, the setting, or the use of color. I then started experimenting with curves and that has led me to completely new adventures with fabric. |
