| My quilt includes the work of quilters that have gone before me (vintage pieced circles and nine patch blocks) reused and re-imagined as a field of flowers. During the creative 'conversation' of my design and execution, I am free to see old things in new ways, while using time honored techniques (such as hand quilting) in new ways (using perle cotton). Although I am a contemporary quilter, my work is inspired by the past. |
