| My lifelong love affair with fabric became an obsession when I learned to quilt in the 1980s. Eventually I became restless with making bed quilts and turned to art quilts. I am an artist in training continually seeking new skills and techniques which challenge me and enlarge my tool kit. I am hooked on thread painting, the technique used in Gingkoes II. I layered cotton, organza and tulle, then thread painted each leaf. This is the first time I have used silk thread to quilt. |
