| Libby Fife (of Concord, California) and I wanted to translate the crazy quilt approach into a very modern piece. We decided on bold, graphic shapes and images to convey our idea. We also wanted to use machine embroidery over hand embroidery to show how modern machines can be tools to make beautiful statements. |
