| To me this little block is all about tradition; the mixing and melding of old and new techniques and materials. Cottons, silks and velvets, glass and ceramic buttons, French ribbon and hand dyed silk bias cut strips, as well as hand tatted lace. My Great Aunties from Maine, Fern, Mercy and Sadie, were all quilters and lived into their 80’s and 90’s with a creative spirit running through them. This is for them. |
