| Commercial printed cottons and batiks - about 125 different fabrics. 2 batts used - Fairfield cotton and Fairfield 50%/50% cotton/bamboo. Letters were paperpieced from designs I drafted. Machine piecing, machine embroidery/quilting in crazy quilt style. |
| I took the 'crazy quilt' challenge literally- inspired by antique crazy quilts that seem to have pieced letters. Learned a lot drafting patterns and playing with color. About 125 fabrics with a variety of designs, a bit of my black & white collection. Look for a few reproduction fabrics too. Victorian stitching took over and I had a blast trying out fancy stitches and finishing with a stitched swag border to complete the design. Enjoy! |
