| Vintage linens were used to piece this quilt. Silk soie d'alger & perle cotton, along with vintage lace, make up the seam treatments. Vintage pink gloves & pearls & crystals from necklaces make up much of the design. Vintage buttons and sequins add to the interest. |
| Crazy quilting captured my imagination several years ago. It’s truly been a joy to play with the fabulous fabrics, laces, threads, jewels, sequins and buttons that I’ve been unable to resist stashing over the years. This piece, “After the Ball”, highlights some of those pretties and speaks to the romantic in all of us. The lady’s gloves have been slipped off and her jewels have joined them. She gazes pensively into the mirror and, once again, feels the music and his touch on her arm. |
