| Japanese kimono fabrics, dupioni silk, satins for a block, silk button twists and DMC rayon threads for seam treatments. Mokuba embroidery ribbons. Flowerbeads, seed beads, buttons and charms added. |
| I started this quilt in March. It was a month spring was expected to come soon. I picked up vivid colour scheme and also wanted some Japanese feelings on it. So I used Kimono fabrics and fan pattern. I didn’t like to give too much encrusted look on this quilt. I myself love the lacy effect of seam treatments of fan stitched by white silk buttonhole twists. |
