Two-sided quilt. Cotton and other fabrics; metallic piping; cotton, rayon and metallic thread; glass and metallic beads/ machine pieced, embroidered and quilted
This collaborative composition creatively united members of The Broadway Gentlemen’s Quilting Auxiliary: Alliance. We each pieced blocks symbolizing the foundation of our country – thirteen original colonies: ‘E Pluribus Unum – Out of many, one.’ A medley in celebration of our country’s diversity. Each tiny block imagined twice, one traditional, one modern, demonstrating we are here today thanks to those who came before, uniting quilters past and present. Front stitched to Back, one quilt is made: Alliance!
