| I focused on the “Pattern” portion of the contest. I knew I had “Passion” about quilting and I hoped the “People” part would come later. I created a paper pieced pattern and worked on it in the weeks before the contest deadline. I finished up my entry at a retreat and that’s where “People” came in; they not only encouraged me but one of them helped name the quilt, saying it resembled a beach umbrella. |
