99. "A Farmer's Dearest Ally" Susan Radkiewicz Jacksonville, Illinois |
| Cotton fabric and batting, chiffon "rays" pieced and ditch quilted on domestic sewing machine |
| Although I wanted to stitch a quilt for this contest, I was having difficult coming up with an idea within the Alliances theme. Then I dreamt this quilt. Ours is a farm family and I realized that the single most important ally that we have is God. Without Him, the seeds we plant will never ripen and mature. Our hard work with His blessings make all the difference. |
