| I have collected many c1860 Civil War reproduction fabrics and felt that the combination of Lincoln’s portrait and the Court House Steps pattern seemed ideal for this Alliance for American Quilts project. The flag prints and star buttons symbolize Lincoln’s passion to reunite the Union, an appropriate goal as we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the War Between the States. |
