My art quilts are a perfect expression of my life long love of fabric, sewing and art. Lake Collage is a fusible appliqué quilt. Non-traditional quilt fabrics such as monks cloth, linens, and sheers are used to get a textural sandy beach scene framed by birch trees and dune grass. The lake sparkles with tulle netting and metallic threads. The quilt is free-motion machine quilted for added texture.
