quilt
27. "Ebony and Ivory"
Bridget Wideman
Seaside, Oregon
Foundation piecing and machine quilted using cotton fabrics, batting and threads.
When I thought about the word “alliances” the first thing that came to mind was “black and white”. I decided a black and white quilt was in order and I experimented with a variety of block ideas until I stumbled upon some leftover strips from a prior project. What else do you do with left over odd shaped strips? Make a string block. That’s how my quilt cam about. Basic, simple and to the point.
